Odd capture the Flag Game (late publish from Wednesday)
Today was a funny PE day. It was very eventful. We had choice today between a bunch of sports I don't remember, but I chose to play capture the flag. I wanted to go out and run so I knew capture the flag would be a good choice. The team I was on won 2 games and by the third game we ran out of time. Our defence was pretty sick, with The Formatiom X thing. Peyton, Gaby (grade 10 and 9) Shiho,Yulia, Madison and some other people were all defence. I loved how during this capture the flag game everyone was so into it. I felt sick in the beginning that day, and I wasn't as energized, but all that positive energy really got me going in the end. This really shows how much people can influence you during times like that. I was pretty tired by the end of it, and it was suprisingly fun. I usually like it better when it is just our class, because I'm comfortable with everyone, but today was really fun. I liked working with new people. Capture the flag is usually a game where you can slack off and just stand around with friends, but I don't think I saw anyone do that, everyone seemed to have their mind set on winning today.

BUDDIES (Late publish)
During buddies we played a modified version of base ball with tennis rackets and tennis balls. At first my group was a bit confused on the rules so it took us a while to start. I learned to ask more questions if I dont know how to do something, because if I'm confused my buddy will be too. Todays buddy class wasn't our best day, a lot of people including myself were out of it, maybe because some were tired from dance and also the confusion didnt help out situation. Once my Alexis, Gaby, Rhiann and I finally understood the rules the rest of the class went by smoothly. Although for a lot of us it wasn't our most energetic day, I learned to suck it up and just make sure my buddy succedded as best as she could and that she actually learned from me. My buddy has trouble throwing the ball, and I explained to her how to throw underhand. Even though our group had a hard time hitting the ball I tried to encourage them and just making them smile if they made a small mistake. They seemed to really like aiming at my face, because once I put my face as the target they hit and threw better. What I learned was that the little buddies were really good at running, what I like about my buddy is that she doesn't look like she gets frustrated, because she just tries again until she gets it. I know I would definatley be annoyed at myself. As they learn a lot from us I also learn a lot from them. They laugh when I laugh and my mood affects theirs. This game envolved a combination of all the things we have taught our buddies. Working as a team, throwing, aiming etc. My buddy can get really quiet which means the team work of throwing and catching the ball to each other was a bit challenging for her. Neverthless other than a few flaws in the beginning of class, I think my energy wasn't too bad but I also couldve improved.

L A C R O S S E
Today in PE we played Lacrosse. The making of teams was hectic, but Miguel and Chris eventually got everyone together which was awesome for them. It really did look frustrating for them and being a leader is really hard. As for me I am more of a follow and listen type of person, so that is what I did and tried my best to keep quiet and not talk to my friends. This class has taught me a lot about leadership, and supporting one another and I'm going to need all that for next year, as my PE class may not be with all my friends. I have never played Lacrosse before in my entire life, so yes it was a bit of a challenge. The poeple on my team were actually people I dont usually interact with so it was a nice expierience working with Palvi, Joel, John, Nathan and Rhiann. I feel like this was one of my good days. Even if this whole game was new to me, I made the most out of it. The amount of times that I almost got a point as the ball just bounced out of the stick was annoying. Nevertheless, it was still a fun game even though we never actually got a point. Anyways, as I right this blog, I am extrmley tired after all that running around in the heat. Summer come at me.

Park Day with the Family
So today my whole family was off and after church they wanted to take a nap. Instead, I forced them to go outside and spend the rest of the day at the park. I played tennis with my brother and we had so much fun, I've really improved and now we can rally properly and play real games. People were waiting for the tennis court after our time was up so we went on the field to play badminton. I did a few laps with my penny board and then my brother and I did this is mini fitness activity. Basically we tossed a tennis ball around and whoever dropped it would have to do a fitness activity (a lap, push ups, squats etc). By the ene of the day I was so tired and sweaty, my body is sore but it was worth it. We were there for 2 hours taking one break in between. PE this year has really got me into being active and forcing my family to be active with me. YAY more of this in the summer and I think I'll continue to blog.

VERY LATE PARENT BLOG POST (better late than never)
1) Have you read your son/daughters blog? Yes.
1) Have you read your son/daughters blog? Yes.
Was
there anything that surprised you or stood out immediately? That they are doing a lot of physical
activities compared to last year. It is definitely good for their health. And
she is having fun.
What
was your favourite part about reading his/her reflections? The pure excitement she has as Micah
narrates her joy and happiness in these wholesome exercises. I like how she is
truthful as well.
What
did you learn about your son/daughter that you didn't know before reading the
blog? What part of your child's growth/personality has been reaffirmed
for you? That she is actively
participating in PE and actually enjoying it at the same time. That she has a
positive outlook in life despite her limitations in this very athletic
environment.
If
you were evaluating him/her on his/her blogging efforts, what would you say?
What would you give him/her out of 25? 23
How
did you come up with that number? Because
I enjoy reading her blogs and she has lots of fun doing it.
HEALTHY
LIVING:
2) What do you notice about your child's health choices outside of school? She is conscious of her own health.
2) What do you notice about your child's health choices outside of school? She is conscious of her own health.
What activity and or diet choices does s/he
make on their own? Playing tennis
with her old man and not eating after 6:00 p.m. besides fruits
What exercise/eating choices are encouraged by
the family/household? Tennis,
Long-boarding, threadmill and biking. Control intake of fats and carbohydrates.
Did you see any evidence of this in his/her
blog? Yes, she blogged about playing
Tennis and going out for runs
What is missing that should be included? A daily schedule of physical
activities that must be religiously followed and also more about her diet
What improvements do you think your child
could/should make to further his/her understanding and participation in his/her
own health? She should set a
reachable goal aim at lowering her weights.
What
things can you as parent do to push this learning/practice? By watching over them and doing those
activities with them.
If you were to evaluate your son/daughter on
their progress towards personal healthy life choices what would you say? Needs some improvements, but overall is
pretty well done.
What
mark would you give them out of 25 for his/her efforts and demonstration of
those efforts in the blog? 22
How
did you come up with that number? She
needs to be consistent, But I am very pleased that they are aware of their own
health. I thank the school for encouraging the students in physical education.

Capture the Flag - 9 wins !
Another successful PE class. I'm really sad that the school year is coming to an end bc P.E. with this class has been so fun. Anyways, today we played the "divergent" capture the flag. It was really intense, especially when there were 9 of us against Palvi but for some reason it was still really scary to try to get past her. Gaby Peyton and I took like 10 minites trying to get to the other side without any of the 10's seeing us. Eventually we got in to see that there were already like 6 of us on the offense side. We used our numbers as an afdvantabe against the 10 s and conquered the flag !!! I really worked up a sweat with all that sneaking around and sprinting away from the 10's. Also i give the 10's credit bc they have less people so it was a good game. Having fun and working out days like this are the best PE classes.
Sore all over
In Pe we did BOOT CAMP. It wasn't that bad, I do prefer runninng, because I feel like I do more when I run. Oddly enough my favorite work out was over and back, because I didn't think Id actually go over and back that many times. I really want to work on the star planks, that was definitely the hardest activity. Despite the fact that this wasn't my favorite PE avtivity I still tried hard. I know I tried hard because I'm really sore and I didnt smell too great. I do wish that I couldve gotten better test scores, because I know for sure I can improve by June. I think we should do boot camp as out Pe testing, it seems for affective than the usual testings we have in the gym.
I swear my face in PE selfies always look like I'm so uncomfortable + my scores for all the activities.

Man Hunt
Today I played Man Hunt with my friends outside of Sulli and the amount of running I had to do was insane. I felt like I did fitness. But yeah I'm happy I got to do some physical activities. Other than Man Hunt we played volleyball, capture the flag and passed a frisbee around. Id post a picture but I dont know if I'm allowed to post pics of people outside of our PE class.
